Following up with the Business Security tips, one of the best practices in any business is to protect your passwords and keys.
• Typically its advised to have you IT person keep records of all passwords and keys in a secure area that cannot be accessed by anyone else in the company except for (optionally) the owners. Keeping your passwords and keys protected will increase your security and bring extra peace of mind to your business.
• Install and maintain adequate locks on all doors, windows and storage areas.
• Install and maintain adequate lighting on the exterior perimeter of your building(s). This includes back doors, loading docks and parking lots.
• Provide cabinets and overheads with locks and keys so employees can keep there belongings (especially at a desk) safe.
