Select Security was established in 1998 by Mr. Patrick Egan but its inception actually began over 35 years ago, when Mr. Egan first started in the security industry. He is the founder and former president of Commonwealth Security, established in 1971. During that time, the company grew to become one of the top security companies nationwide, with over 30,000 customers and 10 office locations.

In 1998 Mr. Egan established Select Security, Inc, which installed and operated over 24,000 home and business security systems. In March of 2003 Mr. Egan decided he could better serve his clients by concentrating his expertise in central PA. For the past 5 years Mr. Egan and Select Security have been dedicated to providing the most up-to-date professional security systems for homes and businesses in Lancaster and the central Pennsylvania area.

Mr. Egan’s credentials include:

• Former president and founding member of the Pennsylvania Burglar and Fire Alarm Association.
• Former chairman and founding member of the Security Network of America.
• Former president of the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association.
• Serving several national security industry boards, including Central Station Alarm Association and the Security Industry association.
